Why Do You Rap?

Why…? I do it because this is what I’m good at. This WAS a hobby.. Something I did on the side. When I was bored. I remember back in 10th grade, I just put shit out.. HORRIBLE quality, sub-par lyrics, flow was off.. But I was proud. I was able to say “That’s ME.. On that beat. Rapping.” I was happy..

But it was the jokes.. All the criticism, the negativity, the people speaking down on me.. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t sad about it, angry, hurt, none of that shit.. I was like “…Oh? I suck? Hmm… What happens if I try..?”

Hmm.. By the looks of it… Wasn’t such a bad idea to actually put on my big boy pants, wasn’t it? I wanna be legendary. I wanna be famous. I want the money. The power.

But because of MY skills.. Not the skills the industry tries to give you.

This shit is my life. My dream.

I don’t need you to understand.

I don’t want you to.

I just want you to witness..
